How this estimate works
Entry fees multiply by the number of paid entries. The payback percentage applies to those fees; added money goes on top. The resulting prize pot is allocated to D-divisions, then each division is split 50% to first, 30% to second, and 20% to third in this example.
The illustrative division shares are 50/30/20 for 3D, 35/30/20/15 for 4D, and 30/25/20/15/10 for 5D. EntryBooth’s actual jackpot templates let producers set their own percentages. The calculator does not account for empty divisions or ties, which the live event workflow handles.
Example: a 4D jackpot
With 65 paid entries at $35, 75% payback, and $500 added money, gross entry fees are $2,275 and the prize pot is $2,206.25. At a 35% 1D share, the 1D pool is approximately $772.19 before its first, second, and third place split.
Common questions
Does added money get reduced by the payback percentage?
No. This estimate applies payback to entry fees, then adds the full added-money amount to the prize pot.
What happens when a division has no riders?
This planning estimate shows the configured division shares. In an actual EntryBooth jackpot, empty divisions are unpaid.
Can I use different payout percentages in EntryBooth?
